Man Accused of Luring Friend with Job Offer and Allegedly Selling His Kidney

Islamabad: Police have launched a search for a suspect accused of allegedly kidnapping his friend under the pretext of offering him a job and removing one of his kidneys for illegal sale.

According to police, the victim, Rehmat, a resident of Pattoki, was allegedly taken away by his friend Raza on June 26 after being promised employment.

Investigators allege that the suspect took Rehmat to Rawalpindi, where he was given an intoxicating drink and lost consciousness. Police said his kidney was allegedly removed and sold while he was unconscious.

A kidnapping case had been registered on July 12 on the complaint of Rehmat’s brother-in-law. Police said the victim later returned home, after which further details of the alleged incident emerged.

Authorities said efforts are underway to locate and arrest the suspect, while the case remains under investigation.
