Kashmiris Want Lahore-Like Development, Not Karachi Model, Says Ahsan Iqbal

Lahore: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal has said that the people of Kashmir aspire to see development in their region on the lines of Lahore rather than Karachi, claiming that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) remains popular across the country because of its performance.

Addressing a workers’ convention in Lahore, Ahsan Iqbal said that the people of Kashmir are well aware of the performance of both political parties and can judge which governments delivered development and which witnessed corruption and poor governance.

“Bilawal Sahib, the people of Kashmir know the performance of both your party and ours,” he remarked, adding that voters also know during whose tenure corruption flourished.

The federal minister asserted that 90 percent of Pakistan would vote for the kind of development associated with Lahore. He claimed that the development model introduced by the PML-N has earned nationwide public support.

Ahsan Iqbal further stated that the PML-N has become a symbol of Pakistan’s strength and progress, emphasizing that the party’s governance record continues to resonate with voters across the country.

His remarks came during a political gathering aimed at mobilizing party workers and highlighting the government’s development agenda.
