Kidnapped Two-and-a-Half-Year-Old Child Recovered Safely in Gharo, Karachi Police Confirm

Karachi: District West Police have safely recovered two-and-a-half-year-old Azaan Ali Khan, who was kidnapped from New Nazimabad in Karachi and found in Gharo near Thatta following a successful police operation.

According to SSP West Tariq Ilahi Mastoi, the child was allegedly abducted two days ago by a motorcyclist from the Manghopir police station jurisdiction. A case was registered under FIR No. 438/2026 under Section 364-A of the Pakistan Penal Code and Section 3(2) of the Prevention of Trafficking in Persons Act, 2018.

Acting on intelligence information, police conducted a raid near Gharo and safely recovered the kidnapped child. Officials stated that CCTV footage obtained from the crime scene, along with other evidence, played a key role in tracing and rescuing the victim.

Following the completion of legal formalities, the child was handed over to his parents. Police have launched further operations to arrest all suspects involved in the kidnapping.

Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh, Javed Alam Odho, praised SSP West Tariq Ilahi Mastoi, the SDPO, SHO Manghopir, and the entire police team for their swift and professional efforts in ensuring the child’s safe recovery.

The IGP announced commendation certificates and cash rewards (CC-I) for the officers who participated in the operation. He also directed investigators to conduct a transparent and comprehensive inquiry and ensure that all individuals involved in the kidnapping are arrested and brought to justice at the earliest.

Police officials reiterated their commitment to taking strict legal action against those responsible for the crime.
