Pakistani Ministers Criticize Noreen Niazi Over Remarks, Demand Public Apology

ISLAMABAD:Pakistani ministers strongly criticized Noreen Niazi, the sister of former Prime Minister Imran Khan, over her remarks regarding the country’s military, describing her comments as irresponsible and against the national interest.

Minister of State Talal Chaudhry said that Imran Khan and his family seek to undermine Pakistan, alleging that Noreen Niazi’s statement demonstrated hostility toward the country.

“They are not targeting institutions alone; their target is Pakistan itself,” Talal Chaudhry said, adding that her remarks were contrary to the country’s integrity, dignity, and prestige.

Separately, Federal Minister Tariq Fazal Chaudhry condemned Noreen Niazi’s comments, calling them regrettable and saying that the former prime minister and his family never miss an opportunity to make statements that, in his view, are against Pakistan’s interests.

Minister of State for Overseas Pakistanis Aoun Chaudhry also denounced the remarks, describing them as irresponsible and harmful to national interests. He called on Noreen Niazi to issue a public apology, alleging that elements within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) pose a threat to the country.

The statements reflect the government’s position and follow political criticism sparked by Noreen Niazi’s reported comments. No response from Noreen Niazi or PTI was included in the available information.
