More Than 100 Homes Destroyed in Major Fire in Norway
DRAMMEN, Norway:A massive fire has destroyed more than 100 homes in the Norwegian city of Drammen, forcing hundreds of residents to evacuate as emergency crews continue efforts to contain the blaze.
According to international media reports, the fire spread rapidly due to strong winds, extending into nearby forested areas and making firefighting operations more challenging.
Firefighters responded immediately after the blaze was reported, with more than 60 volunteers assisting emergency teams. Helicopters have also been deployed to help control the fire from the air.
Rescue authorities have evacuated hundreds of people to safe locations, and no fatalities have been reported so far.
Officials said the cause of the fire remains unknown, and an investigation has been launched to determine how the blaze started.
