Washington:** U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly considering the deployment of American ground forces to Iran, according to a claim published by a U.S. newspaper citing American officials.

The report states that President Trump is reviewing the possibility of sending ground troops to seize Iranian islands located near the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.

Speaking on the situation, Trump said Iran would be defeated soon and claimed that Tehran is seeking talks to resolve the conflict.
