Quetta: The Balochistan government has initiated administrative procedures to establish a Government Girls’ School in Killi Babri, Hanna Urak, following a directive from Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti to fulfill a commitment made to the families of martyrs.

Adviser to the Chief Minister on Information and Political Affairs Shahid Rind said the chief minister had announced the school during his visit to Hanna Urak, where he offered condolences and prayers for the families of those who lost their lives.

According to Rind, the Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister has formally instructed the Secretary of School Education to expedite the proposal and submit a summary to the chief minister for approval and further orders.

He said the initiative is not only an educational project but also a practical fulfillment of the government’s promise to the families of the martyrs and a gesture of solidarity with the local community.

The new girls’ school is expected to provide quality education to girls in the area, promote female education, and reduce the difficulties faced by families in accessing educational facilities.

Rind added that the Balochistan government considers education the foundation of sustainable development and is continuing efforts to expand educational opportunities in remote and underdeveloped areas. He said the chief minister remains committed to ensuring that no child in the province is deprived of the right to education.

The adviser further stated that the government is actively working to fulfill its commitments to the families of the martyrs, improve public welfare, and strengthen the education sector, while relevant departments have been directed to ensure the swift implementation of the chief minister’s announcement.
