Saudi Arabia Launches New Package Tourist Visa, Pakistan Among First Seven Eligible Countries
Islamabad: Saudi Arabia has introduced a new Package Tourist Visa initiative, with Pakistan among the first seven countries eligible to use the streamlined travel service.
The new program is designed to simplify travel by combining flight bookings, hotel accommodation, and an electronic tourist visa into a single booking process.
According to the Saudi Ministry of Tourism, the service is currently available to travelers from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Jordan, Egypt, and Mexico.
Under the scheme, travelers no longer need to submit a separate tourist visa application. Instead, they can book an approved travel package through authorized travel providers, which includes flights, accommodation at licensed hotels, and the issuance of an electronic tourist visa.
According to the Saudi Gazette, the e-visa is issued within 48 hours after the purchase of an approved travel package, eliminating the need to visit a Saudi embassy or submit a standalone visa application.
Travelers are required to select an approved package through an authorized travel agency, complete the payment digitally, and will receive their e-visa, travel insurance, and travel documents via email.
The Saudi Ministry of Tourism has so far authorized Reservool and Almosafer to offer the new service.
The single-entry tourist visa is valid for three months, allowing visitors to stay in Saudi Arabia for a minimum of two days and a maximum of 88 days under the approved package.
