Iran Claims to Have Shot Down U.S. MQ-9 Reaper Drone Over Bushehr Province

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has claimed that its air defense system shot down a U.S. General Atomics MQ-9 Reaper drone.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, IRGC spokesperson Hossein Mohebbi said the drone was intercepted over the city of Khormoj in Iran’s Bushehr Province.

The report stated that the unmanned aircraft was successfully targeted and brought down by Iranian air defense forces.
