Balochistan Minister Noor Muhammad Dummar Condemns Ziarat Attack, Vows to Protect Peace

Quetta: Balochistan Food Minister and Chairman of the Balochistan Food Authority Noor Muhammad Dummar has strongly condemned the terrorist attack on a police checkpoint in the Kach Mangi area of Ziarat, pledging that peace in the district will be protected at all costs.

In a statement, Dummar paid tribute to the police personnel killed in the attack, including two Station House Officers (SHOs), saying they sacrificed their lives in defense of the country and for maintaining public peace. He described the fallen officers as true national heroes whose sacrifices would not be forgotten.

The provincial minister said the attack demonstrated that militant groups are enemies of Balochistan’s development, peace, and prosperity, accusing them of attempting to create instability and widen the divide between the public and the state.

He stressed that no one would be allowed to undermine peace in the province, particularly in Ziarat, which he described as “the forehead of Balochistan,” emphasizing that security in the district would be preserved under all circumstances.

Dummar said operations against terrorist groups would continue until the threat is eliminated and warned that those challenging the authority of the state would face the strictest legal action. He also praised Pakistan’s armed forces and law enforcement agencies for their continued sacrifices in the fight against terrorism.

Reaffirming the provincial government’s zero-tolerance policy against terrorism, the minister said the government remains committed to safeguarding the province and ensuring that those responsible for attacks are brought to justice.

He also called on all political parties in Balochistan to set aside political differences and unite in support of peace and the fight against terrorism, saying the current situation requires collective action rather than political point-scoring.
