New Twist in Lahore Foreign Women Kidnapping Case as Crash Victim Files Police Complaint

A new development has emerged in the case involving the alleged kidnapping and sexual assault of foreign women in Lahore after the owner of a vehicle damaged during the suspects’ escape filed a police complaint.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the complainant, identified as عثمان (Osman), said he was driving from a private housing society toward Bhatta Chowk when another vehicle collided with his car on Airport Road. The crash caused damage estimated at PKR 300,000, after which the driver of the other vehicle fled the scene.
Osman stated that he immediately contacted the police through the emergency helpline, prompting officers to arrive at the scene. Following the collision, the foreign women reportedly escaped from the suspects’ vehicle and sought refuge inside a nearby store.
Earlier, Faisal Kamran said that eight suspects had been arrested in connection with the alleged kidnapping. He added that police had also identified the vehicle used in the crime and its registered owner. The suspects are reported to belong to Lahore, Sargodha, and other areas.
According to the DIG, police raided a house in Lahore where several young men were living as tenants. Authorities were informed that one of the occupants was allegedly related to Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister, but police contacted the family to verify the claim. He said Maryam Nawaz instructed investigators to handle the case strictly on merit, emphasizing that anyone found guilty would face legal consequences.
The DIG also rejected reports claiming the foreign women escaped on their own. He said the victims told investigators that they were rescued by Punjab Police. According to their statements, one suspect was driving them toward the airport when a struggle broke out near Bhatta Chowk. The vehicle then crashed, allowing the women to jump out and take shelter in a nearby shop.
Police officers subsequently rescued the women, while two female senior police officers persuaded the victims to undergo medical examinations as part of the investigation.
