Rain Expected in Parts of Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Kashmir as Hot, Humid Weather Persists

ISLAMABAD:Pakistan’s Meteorological Department has forecast **isolated rainfall** today in parts of **northeastern Punjab**, **upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa**, and **Azad Jammu and Kashmir**, while hot and humid conditions are expected to prevail across most other parts of the country.

According to the weather forecast, **Karachi** experienced cloudy conditions during the early morning hours, although warm and humid weather is expected to continue throughout the day.

The department reported that **Nok Kundi** recorded the country’s highest temperature on Friday at **45°C**.

Other maximum temperatures recorded included:

* **Dalbandin, Jacobabad, and Dadu:** **44°C**
* **Sukkur:** **43°C**
* **Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sargodha, and Chilas:** **41°C**
* **Muzaffarabad:** **39°C**
* **Lahore, Islamabad, Peshawar, Quetta, and Gilgit:** **38°C**

The Met Office has advised residents in the hotter regions to take precautions against heat-related illnesses, while people in areas forecast to receive rain should remain alert for localized showers and changing weather conditions.
