Punjab Government Reshuffles Top Administrative and Police Officials in Rawalpindi

ISLAMABAD:The Government of Punjab has carried out a major administrative reshuffle in Rawalpindi, replacing the city’s commissioner, deputy commissioner, and city police officer (CPO), along with several other senior officials.

According to official notifications, **Muhammad Abdul Aamir Khattak** has been removed as Commissioner of Rawalpindi and directed to report to the **Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD)**.

Similarly, **Dr. Hassan Waqar Cheema** has been transferred from his position as Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi and instructed to report to the Services and General Administration Department in Lahore.

The notification states that **Captain (Retd.) Nadeem Nasir**, who was serving as Deputy Commissioner of Faisalabad, has been appointed as the new Deputy Commissioner of Rawalpindi.

The Punjab government has also removed **Syed Khalid Mehmood Hamdani** from the post of City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi and directed him to report to the **Central Police Office** in Lahore.

**Hasan Mushtaq Sukhera**, formerly serving as **DIG Operations** in the **Counter Terrorism Department (CTD)** in Lahore, has been appointed as the new CPO of Rawalpindi.

Additional administrative changes include:

* **Hakim Khan**, Assistant Commissioner (Rawalpindi Saddar), has been transferred and directed to report to the Services Department.
* **Muhammad Akhtar**, previously Assistant Commissioner of Kot Momin, has been appointed as the new Assistant Commissioner (Rawalpindi Saddar).
* **Mohsin Iqbal**, formerly Assistant Commissioner of Pindi Bhattian, has been transferred as Assistant Commissioner of Kot Momin.
* **Rab Dino**, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed as Assistant Commissioner of Pindi Bhattian.
* **Shehryar Shirazi**, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Rawalpindi, has been transferred, while **Captain (Retd.) Tayyab Sami Khan** has been appointed as the new Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) for Rawalpindi.

The reshuffle represents one of the most significant administrative changes in Rawalpindi in recent months, with the Punjab government replacing several key civil and police officials simultaneously.
