Karachi: Newlywed Bride Dies After Brutal Domestic Abuse by Husband

Karachi – A 19-year-old newlywed woman, Shanti, has died after slipping into a coma due to alleged severe domestic violence by her husband in the Lyari area of Karachi.
According to reports, the incident took place in Shah Baig Lane, Lyari, just two days after her marriage to the accused, Ashok, on June 15. On June 17, Ashok allegedly inflicted gruesome injuries, mutilating various parts of Shanti’s body, leaving her in critical condition.
Shanti was admitted to the Trauma Centre at Civil Hospital Karachi, where she remained under treatment until she passed away earlier today.
Police confirmed that the Baghdadi Police arrested Ashok shortly after the incident. A case has been registered against him based on a complaint filed by the victim’s brother, and the accused has been sent to jail by the court.
The tragic case has sparked outrage and raised concerns about growing incidents of domestic violence in the country. Authorities have pledged a thorough investigation and justice for the victim.
