Iran Ready to Honor Deal if U.S. Fulfills Commitments, President Pezeshkian Says

Iranian President **Masoud Pezeshkian** has reaffirmed that any reconciliation with the United States must be based on mutual commitment, stressing that Tehran will fulfill its obligations if Washington honors its side of the agreement.
In a statement posted on X, President Pezeshkian said reconciliation is a two-way process and that Iran remains committed to implementing its responsibilities once the United States complies with the memorandum of understanding.
He also criticized what he described as “irrational boasting and baseless threats,” emphasizing that Iran’s position remains firm and consistent.
“Our approach is to base decisions on wisdom, reason, and human dignity, while acting with determination and courage when it comes to defending our interests,” the Iranian president said.
The remarks come amid continued tensions between Tehran and Washington over diplomatic relations and regional security issues.
Masoud Pezeshkian (@drpezeshkian) June 29, 2026
