Sargodha: Post-Mortem Confirms Rape of 7-Year-Old Girl; Murdered by Slitting Throat

Islamabad (Power News) – The post-mortem examination of 7-year-old Muntaha Zahra, who was raped and murdered in Sargodha, has confirmed sexual assault. The initial autopsy report has now been made public.According to the report, the young girl died due to a cut to her jugular vein (shah rag). Her facial and forehead bones were fractured, and seven marks of torture were found on various parts of her body.Meanwhile, the family of the deceased has expressed serious concerns over the ongoing investigation. Muntaha Zahra’s relatives have appealed to Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz to ensure justice.The family stated that the girl’s body was recovered from the third floor of the shop with the help of CCTV footage. They claimed that five individuals were present inside the shop at the time of the incident and demanded that all of them be thoroughly interrogated.Muntaha Zahra had gone to a nearby grocery (kirana) store to buy items when she was allegedly raped and then murdered. The main suspect was killed in a reported police encounter on Wednesday. The suspect’s family refused to claim his body, and locals also prevented his burial in the ancestral graveyard.
