Peshawar Alleged Gang Rape Case Takes New Turn as Police Reveal Key Findings

Peshawar: New developments have emerged in the alleged gang rape case reported in the Budh Bair area of Peshawar, with police investigations uncovering significant details about the incident.
According to police, all three suspects allegedly involved in the case have been arrested, while several members of a local jirga have also been taken into custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
Authorities said the incident occurred about a month ago. Following the alleged assault, a local jirga reportedly decided that one of the accused would marry the girl, while compensation would be paid to her father.
Police investigations revealed that a dispute later arose between the suspects and the girl’s father over the agreed payment. Following the disagreement, the father approached law enforcement authorities, leading to the registration of a formal First Information Report (FIR) and the arrest of the suspects.
Investigators further stated that preliminary findings indicate there had been prior contact between the accused individuals and the girl before the alleged incident.
Police emphasized that the investigation is still underway and that authorities are examining all aspects of the case to determine the full facts and circumstances surrounding the matter.
