Abducted Newborn Recovered from Abbottabad Hospital, Four Suspects Arrested

Abbottabad: Police have successfully recovered a newborn baby who was abducted from the Women and Children Hospital in Abbottabad and arrested four suspects within 24 hours of the incident.
According to District Police Officer (DPO) Haroon Rasheed, the newborn was kidnapped from the hospital’s nursery on June 23, triggering widespread concern and protests by the infant’s family.
Police launched an immediate investigation and apprehended four individuals allegedly involved in the abduction. Authorities said the main suspect, a childless woman, abducted the baby in an attempt to claim the child as her own.
The DPO revealed that no staff member was present on duty in the ward at the time of the incident, describing it as a case of severe negligence on the part of the hospital administration.
Police have arrested the principal female suspect along with her husband and seized the vehicle used to transport the newborn. The baby was recovered safely and returned to the family.
Haroon Rasheed stated that further investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
The abduction, which occurred on June 23, had sparked public outrage and prompted relatives of the newborn to stage a protest outside the hospital, demanding the child’s immediate recovery.
