JUI-F Urges Balochistan Government to Ensure Full Funding for Ongoing Development Projects

Quetta: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) leaders have called on the Balochistan government to ensure adequate funding for ongoing development projects across the province, warning that insufficient allocations could delay their completion and create financial difficulties for contractors.

Speaking during a meeting with a delegation of the All Balochistan Government Contractors Association, JUI-F Balochistan chief and Senator Maulana Abdul Wasey and the party’s provincial secretary general Agha Mahmood Shah reiterated their support for the association’s demands.

The delegation, led by association president Abdul Salam Lango, briefed the JUI-F leadership on the challenges facing contractors and expressed concerns over funding allocations in the provincial budget for the fiscal year 2026-27.

According to the contractors’ representatives, the funds allocated for ongoing development schemes in the upcoming budget are insufficient and far below actual requirements. They argued that such limited allocations could hinder the timely completion of projects and place additional financial burdens on contractors.

The delegation further demanded that, just as some sectors have reportedly received full funding allocations, all ongoing development schemes across every district of Balochistan should be provided with 100 percent funding to ensure their completion on schedule.

Maulana Abdul Wasey stated that JUI-F has always raised its voice for public rights and welfare. He urged the provincial government to ensure the release of the required funds for ongoing projects so that development work can continue without delays.

He also assured the contractors’ association of his party’s full support, stating that JUI-F would raise the issue in the Senate, National Assembly, and Balochistan Assembly to seek a resolution to the contractors’ concerns.
