Iranian President Meets Field Marshal Asim Munir, Discusses Regional Developments and Peace Efforts

ISLAMABAD: President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, met with Pakistan’s Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, NI(M), HI(M), Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Chief of Defence Force (CDF), to discuss regional developments and ongoing efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).
During the meeting, President Pezeshkian praised Pakistan’s constructive and responsible role in encouraging dialogue, reducing tensions, and fostering regional stability. He acknowledged Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote peaceful resolution of conflicts and enhance mutual understanding among regional stakeholders amid growing geopolitical challenges.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering commitment to regional peace and stability, emphasizing the importance of cooperation and diplomacy in addressing shared challenges.
According to ISPR, both sides also reaffirmed their resolve to further strengthen Pakistan-Iran relations and maintain close consultations on matters of mutual interest, with the shared objective of promoting peace, prosperity, and stability across the region.
