Seven Terrorists Killed in Kech Intelligence-Based Operation; Heavy Arms Cache Recovered

Kech (News Desk) — Seven militants linked to the banned organization Baloch Liberation Front were killed during a successful intelligence-based operation conducted by Frontier Corps Balochistan (South) in the Hoshab area of District Kech, security sources said.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) statement, the operation was launched after credible intelligence reports indicated the presence of militants involved in subversive activities in the region. The action took place in a rugged and mountainous area of Hoshab.

During the operation, militants opened heavy fire on security forces, which was effectively responded to by FC personnel. As a result, all seven terrorists were neutralized on the spot.

Security officials stated that the killed militants were involved in attacks on security forces and civilians, as well as sabotage activities targeting public and private infrastructure.

Following the operation, a clearance exercise was carried out to eliminate any remaining threats in the area. A large cache of modern weapons, including automatic rifles, rocket launcher shells, hand grenades, ammunition, and explosive materials, was also recovered.

Authorities added that the seized weapons were intended for future terrorist activities, which were successfully foiled due to timely action by security forces.

The ISPR further stated that intelligence-based operations across Balochistan will continue as part of ongoing efforts to eliminate terrorism and ensure lasting peace in the province. Local residents reportedly appreciated the operation and expressed hope for improved security and stability in the region.
