Terror Convict Sajid Ahmed Sentenced to Life Imprisonment by ATC Turbat; Total Jail Term Set at 21 Years 5 Months

Turbat (News Desk) — A special Anti-Terrorism Court in Turbat has sentenced Sajid Ahmed, a suspected militant linked to the outlawed group Baloch Liberation Army, to life imprisonment along with an additional cumulative sentence of 21 years and 5 months under multiple charges.

According to court proceedings, the case was heard under Section 7 of the Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997. After a detailed examination of evidence, witness statements, and investigative reports, the court found the accused guilty of terrorism-related offences.

Sajid Ahmed was arrested on November 30, 2025, during a joint operation conducted by law enforcement agencies in Panjgur. Investigators revealed that the accused was allegedly preparing for a planned suicide attack and had reportedly equipped a vehicle with explosive material for the intended operation.

Security sources stated that timely action by the forces helped prevent a major terrorist incident, potentially saving numerous lives and avoiding widespread destruction. During the investigation, authorities also established the accused’s links with the banned organization Baloch Liberation Army and involvement in other terror-related activities.

Officials described the verdict as an important development in ongoing counter-terrorism efforts, reaffirming that operations against elements threatening national security and public peace will continue without discrimination, and all such individuals will be brought to justice.
