Trump Warns Iran of Further Military Action Over Activities of Proxy Group in Lebanon

WASHINGTON: US President Donald Trump has warned Iran to immediately stop its proxy group in Lebanon from creating instability, threatening further military action if Tehran fails to do so.

In a post on his social media platform, Truth Social, Trump said Iran should restrain what he described as its “highly paid proxy group” operating in Lebanon.

The US president warned that if Iran does not take immediate action, Washington would launch another strong response.

“If Iran does not stop its proxy group in Lebanon from causing problems, we will strike Iran again, just as we did last week—only even harder,” Trump wrote in his post.

The remarks come amid heightened tensions in the Middle East and ongoing concerns over the activities of Iran-backed groups across the region.

Trump’s latest warning signals a continuation of Washington’s hardline stance toward Tehran and underscores growing pressure on Iran over its regional influence and support for allied armed groups.

No immediate response from Iranian officials was reported following the president’s statement.
