JD Vance Not Expected to Travel to Switzerland for Initial US-Iran Talks, White House Says

WASHINGTON: U.S. Vice President J. D. Vance will not travel to Switzerland today for the initial negotiations regarding the implementation of the U.S.-Iran Memorandum of Understanding, according to White House officials cited by American media.
The White House stated that the logistics surrounding these negotiations have always been complex and unpredictable. As a result, Vice President Vance is not scheduled to depart for Switzerland at this stage.
A White House spokesperson said that the administration would provide updates on future steps once there is tangible progress in the diplomatic process.
The remarks come amid preparations for discussions aimed at implementing the recently signed memorandum between the United States and Iran. While talks are expected to move forward, officials have indicated that scheduling and participation details remain subject to change.
