CTD Officer Martyred in Noshki Shooting; Balochistan Government Orders Immediate Investigation

Quetta: The Balochistan government has expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of a Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officer who succumbed to injuries after a shooting incident in the Ahmedwal Chowk area of Noshki.
In a statement, Balochistan Chief Minister’s Adviser on Media and Political Affairs, Shahid Rind, said that CTD officer Baba Jan Muhammad Hasni was critically injured in the firing incident and was shifted to a hospital, where he later embraced martyrdom.
Rind paid tribute to the fallen officer, stating that he rendered valuable services in maintaining law and order and in the fight against terrorism in the province. He added that the sacrifices of security personnel would always be remembered and honored.
Expressing heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family, he said the Government of Balochistan stands with them during this difficult time.
“Terrorists and enemies of peace will never succeed in their malicious designs, and the sacrifices of our martyrs will not go in vain,” Rind stated.
He further said that Mir Sarfraz Bugti had taken notice of the incident and directed the relevant authorities to conduct an immediate investigation and ensure the arrest of those responsible. Law enforcement agencies are currently examining various aspects of the case, and investigations are underway.
Reaffirming the provincial government’s commitment to combating terrorism, extremism, and criminal activities, Rind said that operations against anti-state and criminal elements would continue with full force and that all available resources would be utilized to ensure lasting peace and stability in Balochistan.
He also prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s status and for patience and strength for his family.
