Balochistan CM Orders Officials to Stay on Site Until Rakhni-Bekar Road Completed

Quetta: Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfaraz Bugti has issued a strict warning to engineers and contractors over delays in the construction of the Rakhni-Bekar blacktop road, emphasizing that negligence will no longer be tolerated and results must be delivered on time.

During a high-level review meeting, Chief Minister Bugti expressed strong displeasure over the slow progress and directed that the project’s Executive Engineer (XEN) and Supervising Engineer (SE), along with the contractor’s representatives, remain on-site until the road is fully completed.

Key Directives:

Mandatory On-Site Presence: All responsible officials must supervise work on the ground continuously to ensure timely completion.
Road and Bridge Construction: Blacktopping and bridge work on the Rakhni-Bekar road must be completed within the scheduled timeline to improve local connectivity.
Strict Monitoring: The Secretary of Communications and Works (C&W) is required to visit the project site monthly and submit direct progress reports.
Zero Tolerance on Quality: Speeding up construction does not mean compromising on quality; the road must meet all safety and engineering standards.

Chief Minister Bugti highlighted that the timely completion of this road will bring social and economic benefits to the region, improving access to Quetta and other major cities. He warned that if progress remains unsatisfactory by the next review, strict disciplinary action will be taken against responsible officials.
