Trump Says Iran Deal Not Final Yet, Warns of Possible Military Action if Conditions Are Not Met

ISLAMABAD: US President Donald Trump has stated that the expected memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Iran, scheduled for Friday, is not yet a final agreement, and warned that military action remains an option if Tehran fails to comply with its terms.
Speaking to the media alongside Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi during the G7 summit, Trump said the United States would not hesitate to return to “bombing and military action” if Iran does not adhere to the agreed conditions.
He stressed that Washington’s response would depend on the implementation mechanism of the deal, adding that if he is dissatisfied with its enforcement, the US could again resort to force.
Positive Reaction in Global Markets
The US president also highlighted a positive response from global financial markets following the potential Iran understanding, saying investors have reacted favorably to the developments.
However, he clarified that the United States would not invest in Iran, although Gulf countries would be free to do so without any objection from Washington.
Iran Warns Israel Over Violations
Meanwhile, Iran has accused Israel of violating a US-mediated Lebanon ceasefire agreement 84 times and warned of a strong response.
In this context, Trump also criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging him to show greater responsibility regarding the Lebanon situation.
Iranian Oil Shipments Continue Despite US Restrictions
Separately, according to TankerTrackers, a third oil tanker carrying Iranian crude has crossed a US naval blockade line and passed through the Gulf of Oman, marking a challenge to Washington’s efforts to curb Iran’s oil exports.
The development highlights ongoing tensions in the region despite diplomatic efforts and evolving negotiations between the US and Iran.
