Strict Action Against Elements Disrupting Peace, No Tolerance for Sectarian Violence: Balochistan CM

Quetta (News Desk) Chief Minister Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has said that elements involved in disturbing peace will be dealt with an iron hand, and no one will be allowed to spread sectarian violence in the province.

He made these remarks while chairing a high-level meeting regarding security arrangements and law and order during Muharram-ul-Haram. The meeting was attended by Corps Commander Balochistan Lieutenant General Rahat Naseem Ahmed Khan, Inspector General Police, Chief Secretary, and other senior civil and military officials.

During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the overall security situation in Balochistan, Muharram security arrangements, and civil-military coordination.

Addressing the participants, the Chief Minister said that all relevant institutions, religious scholars from different schools of thought, trader organizations, and community leaders will remain in close coordination to ensure peaceful observance of Muharram-ul-Haram.

He further stated that any elements attempting to disturb peace will be dealt with strictly, adding that security forces are fully active to respond to any law and order violations.

Emphasizing sectarian harmony, the Chief Minister stressed that sectarian violence will not be tolerated under any circumstances. He said that all available resources are being utilized to protect lives and property of citizens and to ensure peaceful conduct of religious gatherings across the province.
