AJK General Elections to Be Held on July 27 as Scheduled: Election Commission

Islamabad: The Election Commission of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has confirmed that the general elections in the region will be held on July 27 as per the scheduled plan.
According to the spokesperson of the AJK Election Commission, the election schedule was issued on June 5 in line with constitutional and legal requirements due to the completion of the assembly’s constitutional term.
The spokesperson rejected speculation regarding any delay in the elections, terming such claims baseless. He said that holding elections on time is a constitutional responsibility and the schedule was not issued for any political purpose.
The Election Commission further stated that all necessary arrangements are being made to ensure free, fair, and transparent elections in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
It added that the electoral process will be conducted strictly in accordance with constitutional and legal provisions, ensuring impartiality and transparency throughout the process.
