Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch Appeals to Philanthropists for Support of Alkhidmat Education Programme
Quetta: Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan chief, Member of Provincial Assembly from Gwadar, and Chairman Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch, has urged wealthy individuals, industrialists, and business leaders to fully support Alkhidmat Foundation’s educational initiatives for orphaned, needy, and underprivileged children so they can play their role in building a brighter future for themselves and the province.
Addressing the annual ceremony organized by Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan at Quetta Press Club, he expressed concern that scholarships for Balochistan’s students are largely being provided by philanthropists from outside the province, and stressed that local affluent individuals should also step forward to fulfill this national and religious responsibility.
He said that those who spend millions on luxury vehicles should instead invest in the education of deserving children in Balochistan and become part of Alkhidmat’s scholarship programme for their spiritual and social betterment.
Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch informed that during the current year, Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan has provided educational scholarships to more than 100 orphaned and deserving students, enabling them to continue their studies.
He said that under the vision of “A literate Balochistan will be a progressive Balochistan,” Jamaat-e-Islami is running the “Parhta Barhta Balochistan” campaign aimed at promoting education and equipping youth with skills for better opportunities.
The event was also addressed by Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan President Abdul Majeed Surbazi, social activist Allaudin Khilji, Jamaat-e-Islami leaders Ijaz Mahboob and Qazi Muhammad Arif, among others.
Speakers emphasized that quality education is essential for peace, development, and prosperity in Balochistan. They noted that due to poverty, unemployment, and lack of resources, thousands of children are being deprived of education, which may negatively affect future leadership.
Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch further stated that Jamaat-e-Islami’s “Bano Qabil” programme is providing free IT and digital skills training to youth to help them secure respectable employment. He added that Alkhidmat’s welfare and educational projects are playing a vital role in promoting awareness, development, and prosperity in the province.
He urged philanthropists, traders, and industrialists to contribute generously to Alkhidmat’s educational programmes so that more deserving children can access education and Balochistan can be transformed into a more developed and prosperous province.
