British Company Develops Device That Generates Electricity from Soil

Islamabad (Kudrat News): As electricity prices continue to rise with little sign of relief, especially amid increasing petroleum costs, a British company has developed an innovative device capable of generating electricity directly from soil.
The device has been created by a UK-based company, Bactery, and uses naturally occurring bacteria in soil to produce electrical energy.
According to the company’s founder and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Jacob, the technology is currently being tested in a garden near Bath, where researchers are observing its performance under real-world conditions.
He explained that the device functions much like a battery, collecting energy generated by bacteria living in the soil.
The company claims that the system can produce electricity continuously, 24 hours a day, and is being designed to operate effectively in all types of soil.
Dr. Jacob said he hopes the technology will complement other environmentally friendly energy solutions, such as solar power systems, and provide an alternative source of renewable energy.
According to Bactery, the soil-powered device may also operate for a longer period than conventional battery-powered systems, making it a promising option for sustainable energy generation in the future.
