Imran Khan Shifted to PIMS Hospital Under Tight Security

Rawalpindi (Qudrat Daily) – Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) hospital under strict security arrangements after being taken from Adiala Jail.
According to media reports, Imran Khan was moved late Thursday night from Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi to Islamabad amid tight security. He was transported to PIMS Hospital for medical examination.
The development comes amid ongoing discussions regarding a possible meeting between Imran Khan and PTI leadership. Reports suggest that contact has once again been established between the government and PTI, and progress regarding the meeting could be expected in the coming hours.
Earlier, speaking in the National Assembly, PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar also demanded access to the party founder, stating that repeated requests had been made to arrange a meeting to receive instructions.
He said that although a committee was formed by the House, only two meetings were held, adding that PTI has remained committed to the parliamentary system “without any ifs and buts,” but their meeting requests have been pending for the past 34 weeks.
Barrister Gohar further said that the party continues to raise concerns over the situation and questioned who should be held responsible for the lack of access. Addressing National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, he urged issuance of a ruling to facilitate the meeting, warning that the party was considering its future course of action, including a walkout.
