Acid Attack Victim Dr. Mah Noor Under Treatment After Successful First Surgery in Karachi

Karachi: Detailed updates have emerged regarding the health condition of Dr. Mah Noor, a victim of an acid attack in Quetta, who is currently undergoing treatment in Karachi.

According to hospital sources, the first surgery on Dr. Mah Noor was successfully completed at a private hospital in Karachi, where doctors removed dead skin tissue from the affected areas. The procedure lasted more than eight hours.

Family members said that her condition has shown improvement after the operation; however, the risk of infection remains due to severe acid burn injuries. She has been placed in isolation as a precautionary measure.

Doctors stated that the treatment is being carried out in multiple stages, which includes removal of damaged skin and subsequent skin grafting procedures. A minor skin grafting procedure has already been performed on her face by a team of plastic surgeons, while no major surgery was conducted in this phase.

Medical teams confirmed that the patient is under continuous monitoring, and further treatment will be carried out as required based on her condition.

Sources added that Dr. Mah Noor underwent a comprehensive medical evaluation for the third time, involving plastic surgeons as well as eye specialists. Several diagnostic tests were also conducted during the assessment.

Authorities in both the Government of Balochistan and Government of Sindh are reportedly in continuous contact with the patient’s family and are closely monitoring her treatment process.
