Pakistan to Launch Doorstep Passport Delivery Service for Citizens

ISLAMABAD: The government has decided to introduce a doorstep passport delivery service to provide greater convenience for citizens across the country.
The decision was made during an important meeting chaired by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, Director General of Immigration and Passports. The meeting reviewed progress on the development of the Immigration and Passports Department’s digital application aimed at modernizing public services.
Officials agreed to launch a new doorstep passport delivery service, allowing citizens to receive their passports directly at their homes rather than collecting them from passport offices.
During the meeting, the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the passport delivery initiative were finalized, paving the way for the service’s implementation.
The move is part of the government’s broader efforts to digitize public services, improve efficiency, and make passport-related procedures more accessible and user-friendly for citizens.
