PkMAP Condemns Terrorism and Lawlessness in Southern Pashtun Areas, Calls for Action Against “Illegal Government”

Quetta (Qudrat Daily) – The central secretariat of the Pashtunkhwa Milli Awami Party has strongly condemned what it described as a continued wave of “savage and terrorist incidents” across southern Pashtun regions, expressing serious concern over the worsening law and order situation.

In a strongly worded press release, the party said that incidents of terrorism, targeted killings, burning of trucks and property, kidnappings for ransom, and forced disappearances have continued over the past month in districts including Harnai, Ziarat, Duki, Qila Abdullah, Chaman, Pishin, and Sibi.

The statement also referred to the acid attack incident at Civil Hospital involving Dr. Maah Noor Nasir, and the recent incidents on the Spira Ragha road, terming them serious violations of law and human rights. The party alleged that despite repeated incidents of violence, including killings, abductions, and attacks on civilians and workers, authorities have failed to apprehend the perpetrators or provide relief to victims.

PkMAP further alleged that the provincial government is engaged in corruption, nepotism, and mismanagement, and described it as an “imposed and incompetent administration” that has lost the right to govern. The party claimed that instead of delivering justice, the authorities are misleading affected families through false assurances.

The press release highlighted multiple violent incidents across southern districts, including vehicle torching in Manggi area of Ziarat, kidnapping of workers on Duki Road, killings in Shahrag on Eid night, ongoing targeted killings in Qila Abdullah, and firing incidents allegedly involving security forces in Chaman. It also cited insecurity in several localities including Panjpai, Nohsar, Ghbarg, Surinjang, Kachlak, and other surrounding areas, stating that local communities are being forced to migrate due to insecurity.

The party demanded immediate steps to halt the violence, recover abducted individuals, compensate victims for financial losses, and bring all perpetrators and alleged hidden actors to justice. It urged authorities to restore law and order and ensure effective protection of citizens’ lives and property.

PkMAP concluded by calling for urgent, meaningful, and effective measures from the government and state institutions to establish lasting peace and ensure justice for affected families.
