BUITEMS Achieving Strong Academic Performance Despite Limited Resources: Vice Chancellor

Quetta: Vice Chancellor of the Balochistan University of Information Technology, Engineering and Management Sciences (BUITEMS), Professor Dr. Khalid Hafeez, has said that universities can meet modern educational demands by increasing resources and accelerating academic and research activities.
He made these remarks while chairing the 44th Syndicate meeting of BUITEMS held at the university. The meeting was attended by syndicate members, deans of all faculties, senior administrative officials, and professors.
Dr. Khalid Hafeez said that modern teaching strategies aligned with current educational needs are essential to achieving academic goals. He emphasized that research-oriented academic development is a key requirement of the present era.
He noted that BUITEMS is performing well in achieving academic objectives despite limited resources, which is contributing positively to the educational landscape of Balochistan. He added that from the beginning, the university’s mission has been to integrate research and modern academic activities into the teaching process so that students can use their skills for the betterment of society.
During the meeting, matters related to academic performance, teaching strategies, financial and planning issues, educational improvements, modern reforms, and implementation of previous decisions were discussed. The Syndicate also recommended that various proposals and decisions be forwarded to the University Senate for further approval.
The Vice Chancellor urged senior faculty members to focus more on research so that they can contribute high-quality academic work to the global community. He stressed that teaching is not only a professional duty but also a moral and social responsibility.
He further said that in the current academic environment, there is a need to achieve maximum educational outcomes with minimum available resources.
