PkMAP Expresses Concern Over Deteriorating Security Situation in Qila Abdullah, Demands Immediate Action

Quetta (Qudrat News) — The provincial secretariat of Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party has expressed deep concern and regret over the worsening law and order situation in Qila Abdullah district, urging the government and relevant authorities to take immediate and effective measures to restore peace.
In a statement, the party said that the killing of 12 people in targeted attacks over the past ten days reflects the failure of government and state institutions, weak security strategies, and negligence in protecting the lives and property of citizens.
According to the party, a surge in target killings, kidnappings for ransom, extortion, armed attacks, and other criminal activities has made life increasingly difficult for residents, while an atmosphere of fear, uncertainty, and insecurity prevails across the district.
The statement described the growing unrest in Qila Abdullah District, Chaman, Gulistan, Darood Malazai, and other Pashtun-populated areas as highly alarming, adding that institutions responsible for public safety appear unable to control the situation.
The party also strongly condemned the recent attack on a camp belonging to Ghazi Enterprises in the Spaira Ragha area of Darood Malazai, where heavy machinery was set on fire, property was damaged, and several individuals were reportedly abducted. It said such incidents negatively affect development projects, local businesses, investment, and employment opportunities.
The statement noted that traders, transporters, laborers, farmers, students, government employees, and ordinary citizens are living under constant fear and feel that adequate measures are not being taken to safeguard their lives and property.
Questioning the effectiveness of security arrangements, the party asked why incidents of target killings, kidnappings, and armed attacks continue to rise despite the presence of security checkpoints, law enforcement agencies, and government machinery throughout the region.
Pashtunkhwa National Awami Party demanded high-level, transparent, and impartial investigations into all recent target killing incidents in Qila Abdullah, calling for the arrest and prosecution of the perpetrators, their facilitators, and supporters. It also urged authorities to make the findings public.
The party concluded by condemning all forms of terrorism, target killings, kidnapping for ransom, extortion, violence, and attacks on public and national assets. It called on federal and provincial governments, security institutions, and civil administration to take urgent, serious, and result-oriented steps to establish lasting peace, uphold the rule of law, and ensure the protection of citizens across Qila Abdullah and other Pashtun areas.
