Trump Says Iran Talks Continue, Claims Peace Deal Possible Within Days

WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump has said that negotiations with Iran have not been halted and remain ongoing.

Speaking to reporters in Washington, Trump stated that the Middle East peace process has entered its final stage, adding that a “very good agreement” could be reached within the next two to three days.

He further said that sanctions and restrictions on Iran remain fully in place, claiming that as a result, there is no oil export activity and Iran is not generating any revenue.

The U.S. president did not provide additional details regarding the structure or terms of the potential agreement but reiterated optimism about reaching a breakthrough in regional peace efforts.
