Mahira Khan Condemns Acid Attack on Female Doctor in Quetta, Calls It “Barbaric Act

Pakistani actor Mahira Khan has strongly condemned the acid attack on a female doctor in Quetta, expressing anger and shock over the incident.
In an Instagram story, the actress wrote that a woman who went to save lives was attacked with acid on her face, calling the act “barbaric” and “pure evil.” She said she could not even imagine such brutality against Dr. Mah Noor Nasir, who was attacked inside a hospital.
Mahira Khan added that she was “shaking with anger,” stating that the victim deserved protection and that the attacker had attempted to “burn her alive” under the belief that he had the right to destroy her.
She further emphasized that this is not only a moment for women to speak out but also for men to raise their voices against such violence and injustice.

The incident took place at Sandeman Hospital in Quetta, where an unidentified man allegedly threw acid on the female doctor, causing severe injuries.
The injured doctor was given initial treatment at the hospital before being shifted to a private medical facility. She was later transported to Karachi via air ambulance for advanced treatment and better medical care.
Authorities are investigating the attack, which has sparked widespread outrage across the country and renewed calls for stronger protection of healthcare workers, especially women in the medical profession.
