MUMBAI: Bollywood actress Taapsee Pannu has returned to social media after staying away from it for one year.
The 38-year-old actor revealed that her decision to step back from social media was not part of any promotional strategy but was made to prioritise mental peace, personal life, and better use of time.
Taapsee Pannu said that constantly participating in online trends, maintaining visibility, and being active all the time can be mentally exhausting.
She added that she had deleted social media apps from her phone and focused on real-life experiences during her break, which made her realise how much time these platforms consume.
The actress also acknowledged that staying away from social media could create professional pressure, as many brands prefer working with celebrities who have a strong online presence.
However, she emphasized that brands should collaborate with artists based on their true identity and talent rather than expecting them to imitate other successful social media personalities.
Taapsee Pannu is currently spending time in Denmark with her husband and family, where she is leading a simple lifestyle that includes household chores, gardening, cycling, and fitness activities.
