No Other Party Built Anything in Gilgit-Baltistan Except PML-N: Uzma Bukhari

LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Uzma Bukhari has said that no political party other than the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has contributed even “a single brick” to development in Gilgit-Baltistan.

In a statement regarding the upcoming elections in Gilgit-Baltistan, she said that slogans of “Sher, Sher” (Lion) can be heard everywhere in the region, adding that people have always voted for PML-N based on its performance.

She claimed that opposition parties try to seek votes by defaming PML-N, while insisting that no other party has carried out development work in Gilgit-Baltistan.

Uzma Bukhari further stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has “zero vote bank” in the region. She also said that PTI members have been complaining for a week about not being allowed to campaign, questioning how a party with incomplete candidate lists can raise allegations of pre-poll rigging.

The provincial minister added that PTI’s political narrative consistently “fails” and proves ineffective, while urging critics to compete with PML-N on the basis of performance rather than propaganda and false claims.

She further said that PML-N is proud to claim that it will make Gilgit-Baltistan as beautiful as Lahore.
