Pakistan Tells UN India Should Face Facts on Kashmir Instead of Misleading International Community
At the United Nations, Pakistan’s Mission Counsellor, Gul Qaiser Sarwani, urged India to study the facts regarding Kashmir instead of denying realities, diverting attention, and misleading the United Nations.
Responding to remarks made by the Indian representative during the General Assembly debate on the Security Council’s annual report, Sarwani stated that Jammu and Kashmir remains an internationally recognized dispute that is still on the agenda of the UN Security Council.
He said that no attempt to distort facts or create ambiguity could alter the historical, legal, and international status of the Kashmir dispute.
Sarwani further asserted that Jammu and Kashmir was not, is not, and will never be what India describes as its “integral part.”
According to the Pakistani diplomat, India should carefully examine the facts surrounding the issue of Indian-administered Kashmir rather than denying realities, diverting attention, or attempting to mislead the United Nations and the international community.
