Trump Says Iran Talks Progressing Well, Deal Could Be Reached Within Days

Washington, D.C.:** U.S. President Donald Trump has said that negotiations with Iran are progressing positively and that a breakthrough could be achieved by the end of the week, adding that both sides are close to signing an agreement.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said discussions with Iran could be finalized within days. He noted that talks are ongoing regarding Iran’s enriched uranium and emphasized that the United States wants Iran to hand over its stockpile of enriched uranium.

The president stated that a successful agreement would lead to the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a key global shipping route. He also said the U.S. is trying to keep issues related to the Strait of Hormuz and Lebanon separate during the negotiations.

Trump further claimed that Hezbollah has assured that it will not launch attacks against Israel. He added that discussions continue on the transfer of Iran’s enriched uranium to the United States and reiterated Washington’s long-standing position that Iran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.

The comments come amid ongoing diplomatic efforts aimed at resolving concerns over Iran’s nuclear program and reducing tensions in the Middle East.
