PTI Forward Bloc Announces Movement for Imran Khan’s Release

PESHAWAR: A forward bloc formed by dissident members within the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has announced plans to launch a movement for the release of PTI founder Imran Khan.

According to reports, the second meeting of the forward bloc was held in Peshawar, attended by more than 20 members. The dissident lawmakers expressed concern over what they described as the absence of a comprehensive and workable strategy for securing access to the party founder.

Participants in the meeting stated that despite repeated efforts by parliamentarians, including the chief minister, to meet Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, no meaningful progress had been achieved. They criticized the party’s ongoing campaign, describing it as disorganized and lacking seriousness.

The members also welcomed the stance taken by Aleema Khan regarding the upcoming provincial budget. They maintained that the budget for the next fiscal year should not be presented in the assembly until the chief minister and members of Imran Khan’s family are allowed to meet him.

The dissident group emphasized the need for a more effective and coordinated approach to securing the release of the former prime minister and vowed to intensify efforts through a dedicated movement.
