Fakhr-e-Alam, Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq Perform Hajj; Actor Clarifies Hair-Shaving Practice

MAKKAH:Pakistani television personality Fakhr-e-Alam has shared details of his recent Hajj pilgrimage alongside former cricketers Wasim Akram and Misbah-ul-Haq, explaining their decision not to completely shave their heads during the ritual.
The three public figures recently performed Hajj together, with videos and statements from the group circulating on social media.
Addressing public criticism, Fakhr-e-Alam clarified in a video that they had consulted religious scholars before performing the pilgrimage. He said they were informed that pilgrims have two options after completing the ritual: shaving the head or trimming the hair.
He noted that while shaving the head is considered more virtuous, trimming the hair is also acceptable and fulfills the religious obligation.
Responding to online criticism suggesting they treated the pilgrimage casually, Fakhr-e-Alam rejected such claims, saying that Hajj is a deeply spiritual experience involving continuous worship, reflection, and moments of both solemnity and social interaction.
He further stated that Hajj also fosters unity among Muslims, bringing them together in a shared spiritual environment where relationships and mutual understanding are strengthened.
The remarks have sparked discussion on social media regarding religious practices and personal choices during the pilgrimage.
