Clean drinking water must be ensured in Sui at all costs: CM Sarfraz Bugti

Quetta: Chief Minister of Balochistan Mir Sarfraz Bugti has directed that the provision of clean drinking water in Sui must be ensured under all circumstances.
He was chairing a review meeting on the progress of the Sui Master Plan at the Chief Minister’s Secretariat, where ongoing development projects were reviewed in detail.
The meeting approved key measures for the protection of the urban population and environmental improvement. It was also decided to relocate the flaring stack away from residential areas, with instructions issued to concerned authorities to accelerate implementation.
Expressing concern over the acute water shortage in Sui, the chief minister stressed that uninterrupted supply of clean drinking water must be ensured on a priority basis, especially during the summer season.
He stated that any negligence in providing water to citizens would not be tolerated.
The chief minister directed the Civil Administration and the Public Health Engineering Department to work in close coordination and take immediate and effective steps to address the issue.
He further emphasized the need to speed up work on the Sui Master Plan and complete all development projects within the stipulated timeframe.
Government of Balochistan was also instructed to ensure that basic civic facilities are provided to citizens as soon as possible so that public issues can be resolved on a sustainable basis.
