Key meeting reviews suspected identity cards linked to Afghan nationals in Karachi West

Karachi: A high-level meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner West Ali Zulfiqar Memon to review matters related to the District Level Committee (DLC) dealing with suspected national identity cards associated with Afghan nationals in District West.
The meeting was attended by the SSP West, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue), and other relevant officials. Participants discussed various aspects of suspected identity cards, their verification process, and the legal procedures required for addressing such cases.
Deputy Commissioner Ali Zulfiqar Memon directed concerned authorities to make the scrutiny and verification process more effective and transparent to ensure the timely identification of identity cards obtained through illegal means.
The meeting also emphasized the need for close coordination among all relevant institutions to handle such matters in accordance with the law and to safeguard the integrity and transparency of the national identity registration system.
Officials reviewed pending cases, ongoing verification procedures, and the future course of action. Participants reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring that all cases are processed strictly in line with applicable laws and regulations.
