Karachi: 96 fined on first day of lane violation enforcement on Shahrah-e-Faisal

Karachi: The enforcement of faceless e-challans for lane violations on Shahrah-e-Faisal began on June 1, with authorities issuing fines across 11 categories of vehicles on the first day.
According to reports, a total of 96 challans were issued for lane discipline violations.
Among the vehicles fined were 2 large buses, 2 coasters, 1 double cabin, and 9 cars. In addition, 6 mini buses, 3 mini trucks, and 21 Suzuki pickups were also fined.
Other challans included 43 motorcycles, 3 trucks, 4 vans, and 2 water tankers.
Officials stated that all fines were issued for driving outside designated lanes, while even slow driving in the fast lane resulted in penalties under the new enforcement system.
