Nawaz Sharif Cleared to Campaign in Gilgit-Baltistan Elections

ISLAMABAD: Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been granted permission to participate in the election campaign for the upcoming Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections.
The Election Commission Gilgit-Baltistan issued an official notification granting Nawaz Sharif a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to take part in campaign activities.
Punjab’s Senior Minister, Marriyum Aurangzeb, announced that Nawaz Sharif is scheduled to travel to Gilgit-Baltistan today.
According to Aurangzeb, the former prime minister will review the party’s election preparations and organizational arrangements related to the polls. He is also expected to hold meetings with party office-bearers and local leaders during his visit.
The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly elections are scheduled to take place on June 7, with political parties intensifying their campaign efforts across the region.
