Islamabad Markets Close on Schedule Under Energy Conservation Drive

Islamabad (Khabar Desk) — Markets and commercial centers across the federal capital have been closed according to designated timings as part of the government’s energy conservation and austerity campaign.
According to the administration, monitoring is being carried out in various areas to ensure strict compliance with government directives. The move is aimed at promoting efficient energy use and reducing electricity consumption by limiting business operating hours.
Officials said that food outlets and restaurants have also been instructed to close by 10:00 p.m. Authorities warned that legal action could be taken against businesses found violating the prescribed timings.
The administration stated that strict implementation of the energy-saving campaign will continue as part of efforts to address the energy crisis and ensure the efficient use of national resources.
Officials also appealed to traders and the business community to cooperate with the government in making the conservation initiative successful.
